Lesson 9: Arriving in Beijing

Teaching aims:

1.    The students work toward mastering (saying ,recognizing and using orally) this vocabulary:

Children  people  many(此三個為復(fù)數(shù)概念)  everyone(第三人稱單數(shù)) 

2 .They practice and can recognize these words:

    Man  men  woman  women  baby  babies 

3. They can understand and respond to the important sentences:

Who are these ?  These are  ...

What are they doing ?  They are ...

Teaching aids:

Computer, CD—Rom, cards  and  mask

Teaching plan:

Step 1: Class opening and review

Greet the students with the familiar phrases like this :

T: Hello! Boys and girls .

S: Hello! Teacher .

T: How are you today ?

S: Fine ,thanks .And you ?

T: I’m very well .Nice to meet you !

S: Nice to meet you ,too .

T: How do you feel today ?

S: I’m happy .

OK. Now let’s welcome all the leaders and teachers .(擊掌三下)

Last lesson ,we learnt a song .Do you remember it ? Let’s sing together .(Excellent !)

Have a revision of Unit 1. Look carefully ! ( on the computer )

Step 2: New Concepts

1. Children , People , Many .

Today we’ll learn a new Unit , Unit 2 .Lesson 9: Arriving in Beijing .

l        First read the words together . (Man  men  woman  women  baby  babies) .Point to a boy and a girl .Say :“ This is a boy . This is a girl .” Point to a line . Say that :“ These are boys . These are girls.” Then point to all the students .Say :“Boys and girls are children.(復(fù)數(shù))” Read it many times .(采取升降調(diào)讀)  Than call one line to read it one by one .

l        All these are people . Read it .(平調(diào)讀三遍 People People People )

(把卡片貼在黑板上 ,標(biāo)明是復(fù)數(shù) ) Than call the volunteers to read .

l        Listen to me carefully . There are many  people in our classroom . Introduce the Chinese meaning – 許多(復(fù)數(shù)概念) . Make an example : Many books . Ask the students to say the similar phrases ( rulers  pens  erasers ...)

l        Follow the computer .

l        Do the practice of the TV .( Ask the students to look carefully )

l        Make up sentences : This is a book . These are books .Ask some students in front of them  to say .( Praise them use : Excellent  Very good  Well done  Wonderful )

2. Everyone

l        Look at the blackboard . Everyone is listening to the teacher . (每個人,第三人稱單數(shù)) . Lead them to read many times with the card . Than call one line to read it one by one  .

l        OK . Now continue : People in the station . First ,just listen carefully .Answer my questions  .

What are the women doing ?     (The women are buying tickets .)

What are the children doing ?  (The children are crying and playing cards )

l        Explain that : the train station

Now guess : There is another station located east of our school . ( the bus station )

the Beijing Train Station ( the bigger letter )

l        Follow it .( Every is tired and hungry .)

l        Are you tired ? Now let’s have a rest . Act out a short dialogue —— In order to practice Everyone better . Four students in groups .( 學(xué)生佩帶頭飾)

Mrs. Li: Who is tired and hungry ?

Li Ming: I am .

Danny  : Me ,too .

Jenny  : Me ,too .

Together : Everyone is tired and hungry .

3. Dialogue

Continue . Follow the computer . Once more . Follow me . Are you ready ?

Step 3: Practice in groups

Make up a new dialogue .Use the sentence structure :

Who are these ?  These are  ...

What are they doing ?  They are ...

This time act it out in groups freely .(自由接組表演)

In the end , the teacher says : All of you did a very good job! Well done ! (擊掌三下)

Step 4: Class closing

Assign homework : All the key words five times !  One Chinese !

Deal with the Activity Book !
